Welcome to
The Arc
An online space for movement educators who are tired of wondering what to teach next.
Sick of staring at a blank page before class, wondering what to teach next?
The Arc was made for you. This is where disjointed class themes and chaotic sequences go to die.
Inside The Arc, we look at class planning through a big-picture lens that values progression over intensity, intentionality over novelty, and consistency over mediocrity.
Together, we’ll move through 6 six-week blocks, each building cumulatively on the one before it. Every block features its own curriculum, a class planning template, and a dedicated discussion space.
You can join The Arc at any time and begin with Block One to start planning your classes. Once you’re inside, you’ll never get stuck on what to teach, ever again.
Who is The Arc for?
This program is ideal if you have dedicated students attending class every week, or if you’re running pre-registered programs. The Arc is for teachers who want a plan that actually moves their students forward, class after class.
This isn’t a place for cookie-cutter sequences or performative teaching. This program is designed to help you take everything you know and use it to fuel a long-term teaching vision.
NB: If you work at a studio where you’re expected to follow a set sequence from week to week, The Arc likely won’t work for you.
How does The Arc work?
The Arc is built around four key learning tools:
✅ Curriculum that makes sense
Know what to teach, why it matters, and how to guide students through real progress.
✅ Templates that give you structure (without boxing you in)
Stay organized while keeping your unique teaching voice.
✅ Community & discussion
Swap ideas, get feedback, and share student wins with peers who get it.
✅ Real class examples
Watch Cecily’s classes with “director’s commentary” so you can see the why behind every choice.

Yoga Detour® Curriculum:
The What, The Why, and The How
The curriculum is the backbone of The Arc. Each six-week block is designed around a clear teaching focus, so you always know the bigger picture behind what you’re offering. Inside each block, you’ll get:
A defined problem (or set of problems) to help your students solve or better understand
The movement tools you can draw from to support them on that journey
A roadmap for what improvement and progression look like, so you can measure how students are receiving the material
Guidance on how to present movement in a way that reflects a clear arc of energy — helping students build cumulatively rather than randomly
This framework ensures your classes don’t just “fill time,” but move students forward with purpose.
Group Discussion: Bringing Theory into Practice
The community element of The Arc is key to your success here. As we move through each block, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and share your students’ wins and challenges. This is where you can share your class planning ideas, as well as any hurdles you run into as you aim to get students from point A to B. You’ll be encouraged to share freely and vulnerably as we move through this learning process together.
Teaching Templates: Balancing Structure and Individual Agency
Every block will include a guide you can follow to keep your class planning on track. These templates will be printable PDFs you can write on and reuse until thinking in arcs comes naturally. These templates will provide an outline to follow, while allowing you to fill in the specifics that will make your classes unique to you. The Arc is not designed for those looking for a paint-by-numbers solution. You’ll use these templates to organize and structure your ideas, without losing your sense of agency in the process.
Class Examples: Where The Arc Comes to Life
Every block will feature at least one video where Cecily shares an actual class of hers, similar to the “Director’s Cuts” in DMS. These videos are screen-share recordings where you’ll see her teaching the class, but hear a separate commentary that speaks to the intentionality behind every movement and transition. These examples will give you deeper insight into the “what” and “why” of arc-inspired teaching.
Will I Get Any Live, Real-Time Support?
Yes! Every block begins with one live group call, led by Cecily. These kick-off calls will blend lecture/discussion with movement as Cecily goes over the curriculum and covers that block’s key learning objectives. These calls will be held on Mondays at 10am PT and run for 60-90 minutes. Every call will be recorded and accessible indefinitely inside the community platform.
At the midpoint of every block, there’s a live Q+A call (held on Thursdays at 12pm PT). These sessions will be more “office hours” style, providing a check-in on how things are going.
Note that these live sessions (and their recordings) are only available to those on a Tier 2 subscription or above.
